Teaching
American History Grant Program
WELCOME to the
Homewood-Flossmoor American History
Consortium (HFAHC),
a collaboration between
Chicago’s Newberry Library, the
University of Illinois at Chicago, and
five of Chicago’s south suburban school
districts:
#233 (Homewood-Flossmoor HS),
#230 (Sandburg HS, Stagg HS, Andrew HS),
#227 (Rich East HS, Rich South HS, Rich
Central HS),
#218 (Eisenhower HS, Richards HS,
Shepard HS), and
#210 (Lincoln-Way East HS, Lincoln-Way
Central HS). The consortium’s twelve public
high schools account for over 25,000
students and in excess of 3,000 educators.
All activities of the
HFAHC are 100% funded by a $967,900,
three year
Teaching American History grant from
the
US Department of Education – grant
program period (10/05 – 9/08).
